Journey to the End of the Night was created in 2006 by Ian Kizu-Blair, Sean Mahan and Sam Lavigne.

Our goal was to design a game that puts players in the middle of a cinematic chase scene through a city at night. We were inspired by bike messenger alleycat races, urban exploration, capture the flag, parkour, and, of course, tag.

With over 5,000 players all-time it is one of the most successful street games in the world. It has been played in San Francisco, New York, London, Los Angeles, Berlin, Chicago, Washington DC, Vienna, and more.

Washington DC’s 2010 event drew 1,100 players, and San Francisco’s 2009 Halloween event drew over 700.

Journey has been covered in Newsweek.

Journey was created as part of SFZero, a real life adventure game.
